My name is Aly and this is a portfolio of my work. Use the drop downs to explore my art and engineering portfolios. You can read more below to learn about my career path.​

 

My ultimate "career goal" is to be leaving a meaningful and positive impact in my community through acts of service. 

​

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I did not find that my work at Apple was aligning with my values. Jaded and confused, I needed to leave tech to find a different path. I enrolled at CCSF while forging a new career and eventually landed in public education. While the work was fulfilling, it was also taxing on my physical and mental health. Though I was no longer  compromising on my values, I still ended up feeling burnt-out and undignified. After researching and contemplating professions that will value my competence, curiosity, creativity, and passion for social change, I have decided to pivot to hair dressing and begin my studies at the Cinta Aveda Institute starting Fall 2026.

While my interests fluctuate, I generally enjoy learning new skills and working with my hands. My recent projects have been focused on sewing, astrology, and collage.
