My name is Aly and ​my hope is to have a meaningful and positive impact on my community. 

​

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I did not find that my work at Apple was aligning with my values. Jaded and confused, I needed to leave tech to find a different path. I enrolled at CCSF while forging a new career and eventually landed in public education. While the work was fulfilling, it was also taxing on my physical and mental health. Though I was no longer  compromising on my values, I still ended up feeling burnt-out and undignified. Now in recovery of that state, I am researching professional opportunities that will value my competence, curiosity, creativity, and passion for social change.

While my interests fluctuate, I generally enjoy learning new skills and working with my hands. My recent projects have been relief-cut printmaking, sewing, and collage. Use the menu at the top of the page to navigate through my different projects.
